With sadness, on July 21, 2017 Edward said farewell peacefully at St. Joseph’s General Hospital in Vegreville, Alberta.

Edward was predeceased by his parents Olive and Karol Wieclaw.  He is remembered with love by his wife Gabrielle (nee Ruest) and children Lisa (Ryan) Hall, Natalie (Jason) Bayer, Conrad (Kim) Wieclaw, and Justin (Nolana) Wieclaw, along with 10 grandchildren:  Zachery, Tate and Leon Hall; Timothy and Alexander Bayer; Jorja, Tia and Roan Wieclaw; Noltin and Loni Wieclaw. Ed will also be forever remembered by his sister Eleanor Gutsell and numerous nieces and nephews extended family and dear friends.

He left footprints on the hearts of those who knew him and for this we are blessed.  He will be remembered for his passion and involvement in the various communities he lived in and the many organizations he belonged to.  Thanks for touching our hearts.  Edward was a loving man who always put his family first.

We would like to extend a heart felt thank you to all the staff at the Vegreville Health Unit and the St. Joseph’s General Hospital for the care and support for Dad and the family.

A Funeral Mass will be held Friday, July 28, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church in Vegreville, Alberta with Father Francis Mariappa as the Celebrant.  Cremation has taken place.  Inurnment to follow at a later date in Frenchville Cemetery in Saskatchewan.

Donations may be made to the St. Martin of Tours building fund or Covenant Health - c/o St. Joseph’s General Hospital.
