Dear Michael & Wanda,
Over a decade you witnessed your Mother wither during a slow, painful journey led by a merciless affliction. Prior to the grip of this disease, Nellie instilled many loving family memories as a talented multi - tasking homemaker, a wonderful baker & cook, a healer, while lovingly raising you and always expressing pride in your personal endeavors. She demonstrated love through her kindness & loyalty as a daughter, sister, wife, mother, and grandmother. Nellie was a marvel. She was a diligent hockey mom, and baby sitter. She was never idle as she loved crafts; wheat weaving, ceramics, and also team sports, bowling. Countless hours Nellie devoted in rural community partnerships that fostered social and family traditions such as: weddings, harvest dances, card game evenings enjoyed by all ages. Anastasia was also an inspiration to mothers. As a testament revealing respect and admiration for her strong Catholic faith and generous heart, Nellie proudly held sponsorship roles as Godmother to several children of cousins, friends and family. Nellie also graciously supported our marriage in her role as our Matron of Honor, fifty years ago. This was also a proud moment for cousin Leonard, his respectful honor as he drove Anastasia & the Bride to Church.
Kenneth and I admire the strong love you held for each other while witnessing the ebbing of Anastasia's, Nellie's life. Helplessly, we observed the stages of grief, not truly knowing the agony of your long farewell. Please accept our condolences to you, and your family for the loss of your beautiful mother and grandmother. We express regret for being unable to attend the funeral as a final farewell. Please know that you are all in our hearts and in our Prayers. May our dear cousin Anastasia rest in peace.
Вічна пам'ять, щирі співчуття рідним, нехай спочиває з Богом.
Kenneth & Anna Eliuk
