We're deeply saddened to hear of Al's passing. Our thoughts go out to Debbie and family. I first met Al while working at the Control Centre and from there we became friends and our families visited back and forth many times. One of my best memories was the fishing trips we took with Al and his boys. He showed extreme patience trying to teach me the proper way to catch and clean a Perch when we were ice fishing. RIP my friend.

My deepest sympathies Debbie, & family. Cherish the memories. I worked with Al in St. Paul, we shared many good laughs; we even curled in a few bonspiels. Al was a great person with a big heart. and always stepped in to help; he even wired my basement when I was first married and moved into my new home & would not accept payment. I last seen Al a few years ago when he had passed through the area for work. May he RIP

Dear family of Allen Rusnak. We were shocked to hear of Al’s passing. Not having kept in touch these last few years, hasn’t diminished our caring about you. Please accept my sincerest sympathy. Al and family were there for us when Ernie passed away. He and Debbie were with us on the executive of Vegreville Fish and Game ( Vegreville Wildlife Federation), at the Gun Club/Range and through the courses that he and Ernie put together with other instructors. Both our sons were with Al on hunting trips. We camped out together on several occasions. I’ll always remember his infectious laughter and cheery smile whenever we met and his cooking skills. Please take care and remember the memories, sad or happy. Love to you. Shirley

To Debbie and the entire Rusnak Family please accept our deepest condolence and sympathies on the passing of Allen. Allen was one of the first people I met when I started working with Alberta Power in the early 70's. One of the most memorable memories of him was when we were stringing wire by hand across a creek and Allen was in the lead. There he was pulling the wire through the creek under water and coming out the other side with his hard hat floating and still pulling. He was a man of the wilderness and was instrumental in teaching young and old about the wild through his involvement with the Alberta Hunter and Firearms Training program. MAY YOU REST IN PEACE aLLEN and we will see you on the other side of the creek someday.
