May 25, 1952 – February 10, 2025
On Monday, February 10, 2025, George Hrynda, of Edmonton, Alberta, formerly of Fort McMurray, passed away at the age of 72 years.
George is survived by his loving family, his wife of 25 ½ years, Sandi; one sister Anna (Don) Amyotte of Edmonton; one brother Mike (Collen) Hrynda of Kelowna, B.C.; three brothers-in-law Terry (Val) Fedorchuk of Fort McMurray, Dave Fedorchuk and Tom Fedorchuk both of Edmonton; two sisters-in-law Sonia (Fr. Andrew) Applegate of Cranbrook, B.C. and Doreen Fedorchuk of Medicine Hat; along with numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, relatives and many friends. George was predeceased by his parents Andrij and Maria Hrynda; cousin Walter Dutchak; and his fur babies Bandit and Kaylee.
A Prayer Service will be held on Sunday, February 16, 2025 at 6:30 p.m. at Holy Trinity Orthodox Church (10902-96 St.) in Edmonton, Alberta where a Funeral Service will be held on Monday, February 17, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. with Fr. Andrew Applegate and Fr. Vladimir Lysak officiating. Graveside Service & interment to take place on Tuesday, February 18, 2025 at 12:00 p.m. in Riverside Cemetery – Vegreville.
