Janet, my sincerest condolences to your entire family during this sad time. Jake was a great fellow, and I enjoyed every minute we worked together, which over the years was quite a lot of minutes.
May the memories of him forever bring you peace.

I worked with Larry directly and indirectly for several years. During these times, I found him to be humble, supportive and caring. I will particulaarly remember him for his acommodating and flexible mannerism. My condolences to his family.

I still can't believe that Dad's not here. I take some comfort that he's at peace. Memories of him are too numerous to put here but certain ones stand out.
First, my Dad was a GOOD man, he was friendly to those he met and ready to "shoot the shit" with those he knew well. He had the best stories and a great way of telling them. I'm so fortunate and grateful that I had him be there for my graduation and to give me away at my wedding. He taught me how to ride a bike and helped teach me to drive, in his prized red and white Ford pick up. Anytime I got to spend with him was special, even doing a run to the dump as a kid, playing on the swing set as he mowed the lawn or going out for a smoke as an adult. He loved to garden, the flowers and trees he planted carefully chosen and maintained. Every summer visit to Veg he he gave a tour of the trees in the backyard and the flowers in the front. He shared his love of hockey with me, texting during the game about who was and wasn't doing their job, he introduced me to Thrills gum. He had a way of putting people at ease, sometimes with one of his funny phrases or "Jakeisms". Dad put a lot of good into this world and now it will be a sadder one without him.

Dear Janet, Micelles, James & Family,
We met Larry in 1972 when he came to Hay River to work for a short while. Lives took us apart until he came to join our Service Family in Vegreville in the 80’s.
He was a kind, gentle and hard working individual, always doing his fair share.
He will truly be missed!
You are all in our thoughts & prayers.
Sincerely
Ken & Helen Hiebert

I had the privilege of working with Larry at ATCO Electric and we were also neighbors when I worked in Vegreville in the 80s. Larry was a great colleague and he and Janet were great neighbors. My condolences to Janet and the family.
