Aunt Elsie, although we lived miles apart you were a wonderful aunt. When we did get together for a visit, you were always smiling and had plenty of plans. Our trip out west, you introduced me to my first Klondike skirt! You made Moira and my 13th birthdays special with a trip east and celebration!!
You always had a project on the go.. from restoring the old car to writing the Triska family history.
I will miss your gumpchin and the sparkle in your eyes when you laughed.

Auntie called me when she was coming to Edmonton because I lived by the airport. I had 3 babies. She would have been close to 80 at the time. She wanted to spend the night at my place before her early morning trip home. I was delighted. She sprinted up about 15 stairs and was honestly going to sleep on my sofa...lol...in her late 70's! I forced her to take the bed but she was stubborn as a mule about it. She had more spunk and energy in her 70's than many 20 year olds. I admire her for always living each day to its fullest. She was authentic. She had a thoughtful and tender personality. Auntie lived to help others in need. She was always an angle...now she has her wings.
