Obituary of Peter Grykuliak

Please share a memory of Peter to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
GRYKULIAK, Peter We are saddened to announce the passing of our dear father, grandfather and great grandfather, Peter Grykuliak on April 29, 2025, at the age of 95 at the Heritage House in Vegreville, Alberta. He is now in the hands of our heavenly father and reunited with his beloved wife, Sadie who he has missed dearly since her passing on February 2, 1997. Her passing was very hard on him as he shared a lifelong partnership, and she was the love of his life. We mourn our loss and celebrate his remarkable dedication to his family and work ethic. He was always ready to help us in any way possible. He will continue to inspire us with his wisdom and guidance that he provided his family. Peter is survived by son Lawrence (Elaine) Grykuliak of Vegreville; daughter Linda (Terry) Skolski of Fort Saskatchewan; four grandchildren Shawn (Erin) Grykuliak, Carmel (Tim) Schreiber; Cheryl (Marc) Barmentloo and Michael (Amy) Skolski; great-grandchildren Ava and Garrett Grykuliak, Makena Schrieber, Logan and Kayla Barmentloo, and Adelyn Skolski. He was predeceased by his wife Sadie; parents Harry and Annie; brothers Orest and Marshall; and sister Mary Kitlarchuk. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, May 3, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of St. Vladimir (5146-48 Ave) in Vegreville, Alberta with Rt. Rev. Fr. Slawomir Lomaszkiewicz officiating. Interment to follow in the Riverside Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the “Ukrainian Orthodox Church of St. Vladimir – Foundation Fund.”
