STRONGQUILL, Lydia
May 8, 1972 – July 16, 2025
On Wednesday, July 16, 2025, Lydia Strongquill of Vegreville, Alberta passed away at the age of 53 years.
Lydia is survived by her son Mathew Strongquill; Common Law Partner Gerald Primeau of 15 years; 8 grandchildren Toni, Mikayla, Talon, Frederick, Jack, Ryder, Silas, and Max.; sisters Ramona, Corinne Strongquill; brothers Dustin, Brad, Ferlin, Littlewolfe, Randy Whitehawk; friend Delirious Johnston; uncles Ted and Douglas Strongquill; along with numerous nephews and nieces and cousins.
Lydia was predeceased by her mother Eva Rose Strongquill; daughters Mercedes and Eva Strongquill; sisters Joanne and Merle Strongquill; grandparents Campbell and Victoria Strongquill; auntie Marlene Quezance (Strongquill); uncles Eugene and Ross Strongquill.
Lydia’s favourite hobbies were beading, going to Walmart, VLT’s and watching hockey. A Liturgy of the Word will be held on Friday, July 25, 2025 at 10:30 a.m. at Autumn Rose Funeral home in Vegreville, Alberta with Fr. Chad Misiak as the celebrant. Interment to follow in the Riverside Cemetery.
