Obituary of William Peter Holowaychuk

HOLOWAYCHUK, William Peter December 6, 1927 – September 25, 2025 William of Wostok and Edmonton passed away in the early evening of September 25, 2025 at the age of 97 years. He is survived by his loving family: wife Nancy of 72 years; son Alvin (Barbara); daughter Lorraine (Steve); five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two brothers; and three sisters. William was predeceased by his son David; parents Peter and Annie; two brothers; and four sisters. A Prayer Service will be held on Monday, October 6, 2025 at 7:00 p.m. at St. Basil’s Ukrainian Catholic Church (7007-109 Street, Edmonton, Alberta). A Divine Liturgy of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, October 7, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. at the Protection of the Blessed Virgin Mary Ukrainian Catholic Church – Krakow (553043 Range Road 171) with Basilian Fathers officiating. Interment to follow in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the “Protection of the Blessed Virgin Mary Ukrainian Catholic Church – Krakow Cemetery Fund.”
