Obituary of Walter Kolisniak

KOLISNIAK, Walter May 23, 1934 - December 18, 2025 With deep sorrow and much love, we mourn the passing of Walter Kolisniak on December 18, 2025, at the age of 91. Walter will be lovingly remembered and sorely missed by his wife of 69 years Florence; his daughter Karen, daughter-in-law Jackie, son Craig (Elizabeth); grandchildren Brayden, Jordan (Christina) and Lane; step-grandchildren Sarah (Bart) and Paige; and great grandchildren Jack and Kailer. Jack and Kailer adored their Gido. Walter was predeceased by his son Clarence; son-in-law Bill; parents Andrew and Elana; brother Orest; sisters Ann, Mary, Olga, Rosie, Sophie, Justine, Zenovia, and Victoria; brother-in-law Max and Edward; and sister-in-law Linda. Walter was born in Musidora, Alberta. After working on the farm with his Dad, he took over and successfully ran the bulk fuel dealership in Two Hills for 35 years. Walter was an entrepreneur in many business ventures and enjoyed farming with his brother, Orest. A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, December 23, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. at Autumn Rose Funeral Home, 5036 - 51 Avenue, Vegreville AB with Archpriest Dr. Timothy Chrapko officiating. Interment to follow at the Two Hills Community Cemetery. Fellowship will take place at the Two Hills Seniors Center following the burial.
