June 13, 1937 – December 27, 2025
On Saturday, December 27, 2025, Orest Sidor of Andrew, Alberta passed away at the age of 88 years.
Orest is survived by his loving family, son Wes; daughter-in-law Connie Sidor; four grandchildren Kalahya, Carter, Logan and Luke; brothers and sisters Metro (Rita), Barry, Vicky Bryks and Hazel (John) Tulick; along with numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Orest was predeceased by his son Warren; daughter-in-law Melahna; parents Metro and Mary Sidor; and three brother Ed, Dave and Billy.
A Public Viewing will be held on Friday, January 2, 2026 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Autumn Rose Funeral Home (5036-51 Ave.) in Vegreville, Alberta. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, January 3, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. at Nativity of The Holy Virgin Orthodox Church – Kysylew with Father Kolin Berglund officiating. Interment to follow in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the “Nativity of The Holy Virgin Orthodox Church – Kysylew.”
