Obituary of Robert Dushenski

DUSHENSKI, Robert (Bob) Michael November 17, 1955 – January 7, 2026 On Wednesday, January 7, 2026, Bob Dushenski of Beaumont and Willingdon, Alberta, passed away unexpectedly and peacefully of natural causes at the age of 70 years. Bob is survived by his heartbroken wife of 40 years Jackie Toma; their special hand-picked daughter Felicia Saville and her husband Justin Tidd. He was Mosu to Kawner Robert, Emma, Max, and Francy all from Hurricane, West Virginia, United States; siblings Iris Armfelt, Bill (Vivian), Darlene (Steve) Gallup, Delilah (Kirk) Beacom, Dawn, Bert and Daphne (Darren) Andrychuk; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, friends and past coworkers. Bob leaves behind his constant companion, his furry best friend Bond, who was with Bob when he fell asleep from this world. He was predeceased by his parents Nick and Mary Dushenski; his Toma family Marylou, Terry Lynn, Dale Lynn and Andy. Bob was the guy who would help any time he was asked, and he would always offer his services and equipment. Bob always had a joke or something witty to say. Bob was someone who always took a lot of pride in his work. The loss of Bob so suddenly has hit everyone very hard and we are still in disbelief. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, January 17, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at the Willingdon Recreation Centre with The Very Rev. Fr. Petre Busuioc, Diocesan Vicar; The Romanian Orthodox Diocese of Canada; The Very Rev. Fr. Calin Marincasi, Dean of Western Canada; The Very Rev. Fr. Mircea Panciuk, Dean Emeritus; and The Rev. Fr. Gheorghe Petrovan, Parish Priest, Boian officiating. Interment to follow in the St. Mary’s Romanian Orthodox Cemetery – Boian. Memorial donations may be made towards the ST. METROPOLITAN DOSOFTEI CENTER, a religious, cultural Missionary Center in the Hairy Hill/Boian area.St. Mary’s Hairy Hill c/o The Romanian Orthodox Diocese of Canada - a project that was very dear to Bob and Jackie.
