On Wednesday, March 18, 2026, Anastasia (Nellie) Komarnisky of Mundare, Alberta passed away peacefully at the age of 85 years.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her loving family, daughter Wanda (Michael) Benning; son Michael (Bernice) and granddaughters Kathleen (Colton) and Hannah; sister Emilia (Delmer); brothers-in-law Morris (Marianne) and Dennis; sister-in-law Kris Huley; along with nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Nellie was predeceased by her husband Leonard and her parents Karol and Mary Dychkowski.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated by Father Chad Miciak on Thursday, March 26, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Martin Of Tours Roman Catholic Church in Vegreville, Alberta. Interment to follow in Our Lady Of Perpetual Help Roman Catholic Church Cemetery – Mundare. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the “Alzheimer Society of Alberta” or charity of one’s choice.
