Obituary of Audrey Miller

MILLER, Audrey Ellen May 3, 1936 - May 27, 2026 It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Audrey Ellen Miller (nee Lowe) of Vegreville, Alberta on Wednesday, May 27, 2026. Audrey is survived by her children Charlene (Wayne) Nelsen, Craig (Colette), Cameron (Val), and Grant (Judy); sixteen grandchildren Owen (Neila), Blair (Heidi), Theresa (Dean), Jeff (Deanna), Luke (Karina), Ashley (Kyle), Stacey (Jeff), Ashley (Mike), Jodi, Jennifer (Dane), Lauren (Tyler), Jess (Chris), Derek (Karly), Jackson, Hunter and Tristan; thirty one great grandchildren; sister Shirley; sisters-in-law, Elaine and Anne; and many nieces and nephews. Audrey was predeceased by her husband Gordon (2023); parents, Chester and Thelma Lowe; daughter Beverly; daughter-in-law Barb; three brothers, and two sisters-in-law. Audrey was a devoted wife and partner to Gordon and together they shared more than 68 years of marriage. Family meant everything to Audrey, and she lovingly raised her five children with kindness, patience and care. Each new grandchild and great grandchild was welcomed with the same warmth and love that defined her family life. Audrey devoted her life to the family farm and took part in every aspect of its daily work, from raising animals to seeding, swathing and combining. She also enjoyed many hobbies, including crocheting, baking, gardening, and spending time with friends and family. We will never forget her delicious food; especially buns, pies, jellies and pickles. The family would like to express special thanks to Dr Gingles for her kind care for over twenty years. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, June 5, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Salem United Church (50315 RR 152- South of Vegreville, AB) with Rev. Carolyn Woodall officiating. Interment to follow in the church cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the “Salem United Church”, “Vegreville United Church” or charity of one’s choice.
