Obituary of Nick Tyminski

Please share a memory of Nick to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
TYMINSKI, Nicholas (Nick) May 29, 1937 – June 2, 2026 Nick was born on May 29, 1937, in Vegreville Alberta, to Bill and Helen Tyminski, the second of nine children. Growing up on the farm, Nick always loved working on the land and with his hands. After graduating from Vegreville Composite High School, Nick followed his interests in working in the trades, becoming a bricklayer and carpenter. Working for many years in Edmonton, he eventually retired in Vegreville, sharing a home with his brother Bill, until Bill’s death in 2022. For his last two years Nick enjoyed living at Century Park Lodge where he participated in social activities, always visiting with others and listening to their stories. Nick was a kind, caring and generous man; this was only equaled by his love of family. On countless occasions throughout his life, Nick would quietly help one or another of his siblings, often at his own expense. There is not a single family member who did not benefit from Nick’s selfless acts of generosity. Nick is survived by his sister Marion Babyn (her husband Joe Babyn); brother Cliff (his wife Sheila Tyminski); and several nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews, all of whom loved him dearly. He was predeceased by his parents Bill and Helen Tyminski; siblings Arthur, Silvia, Roseland, John, Lawrence and Bill. A private Funeral Service will be held for Nick at the Sts. Peter and Paul Ukrainian Orthodox Church in Kaleland, Alberta officiated by the Very Reverend Fr. Evan Panchuk. Interment to follow in the church cemetery. Memorial Donations may be made to the “Sts. Peter and Paul Ukrainian Orthodox Church - Kaleland” for church and cemetery maintenance and upkeep.
