HUCULAK, Mike October 13, 1944 – June 28, 2026 It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our husband, father and grandfather (Gido), Mike Huculak on Tuesday, June 28, 2026 at the age of 81 years, following a battle with Lymphoma. Mike is survived by his wife, Marge Segin; children Lori (Scott) Papineau, Cari (Alex) Pavcek, and Jeff (Heather Cartmell); stepdaughter Tracey Segin (Dale Antoniuk); his precious grandchildren Zachary Pavcek, Julianna Pavcek, Tianna Pavcek, Harrison Papineau, Aveya Huculak, Everly Huculak; step-granddaughter Laurel Stafford; sisters Victoria Beauchamp, Annette Danard; brother Metro (Monique); sister-in-law Terry; numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends; and Pricilla Taylor, the mother of his children. He was predeceased by his parents Alexander and Mary (nee Hunchak) Huculak; sisters Katherine Maybroda and Leona Ewasiuk; brother Virgil; along with sisters in infancy Elena and Rose; and brothers-in-law John and Gerry. A Divine Liturgy of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, July 6, 2026 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Sophia Ukrainian Catholic Church (25-53012 Range Road 224, Strathcona County) with Fr. Rendy Yackimec officiating. Interment to follow in the St. Demetrius Ukrainian Orthodox Church Cemetery – Luzan (151038 Township Road 552) with Rev. Fr. Evan Panchuk officiating. Memorial donations may be made to the “St Sophia Ukrainian Catholic Church”, “St. Demetrius Ukrainian Orthodox Church – Luzan”, or charity of one’s choice.
