Obituary of Betty Horon

HORON, Olga (Betty) Elizabeth January 31, 1940 – July 23, 2026 On Thursday, July 23, 2026, Betty Horon of Vegreville, Alberta passed away peacefully at the age of 86 years, with family by her side holding hands with her. Betty is survived by her two sons: Barry (Colleen) and Craig (Teresa); granddaughters Ceanne (Carsten) and Melanie (O’Neil); and great grandson Bram; brother Bill (Polly) Cymbaliuk; sister Emily Clarkson; two sisters-in-law Irene and Emily. She was predeceased by her husband Marshall; her son Wayne; parents Mike and Annie; four brothers John, Phillip, Edward and Victor and sister Alice. A Divine Liturgy of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, July 30, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Trinity Ukrainian Catholic Church in Vegreville, Alberta with Basilian Fathers officiating. Interment to follow in the Riverside Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the “Holy Trinity Parish.”
