I had the pleasure of working with Nettie at Boian Hall for many years, in the kitchen, sharing stories and laughter while preparing meals for church and community events. We also sang in the church choir together, and both Nettie and Gerald were dedicated members of St. Mary's Romanian Orthodox Church. They will be truly missed. So many good memories. I loved Aunt Nettie, she was so energetic and we both thought she moved like the wind. I spoke to her a few weeks ago, and being the lovely person she was, moved the conversation to ask how we are. I joked to my husband that upon departure from this earth, I will place his ashes next to all the Tomas and he will never have a dull, quiet moment. He replied., no dear, I would like to finally rest then. Thankfully Nettie and Gerald shaped their kids life and. they are both are smart, kind people. Our parents really should be looked upon as our heroes as we inherit the best from both. On a humorous side, I will gladly take any aberrations, to be the person I am. We will always treasure having Aunt Nettie in our lives. Lisa and Robert Denesha ❤️
