Obituary of Adeline Antoniuk

ANTONIUK, Adeline Rose (nee Romaniuk ) April 9, 1939 – August 9, 2026 It is great sadness that we announce the passing of Adeline Rose Antoniuk on August 9, 2026, at the age of 87 years. Adeline leaves to cherish her memory her devoted husband of 66 years, James; her children, Connie Sawatzky, Wayne Antoniuk, Nickie Antoniuk and Gale Antoniuk; son-in-law, Ward Sawatzky; her precious grandchildren, Kyle (Kim) Sawatzky and Katlyn (Andrew) Lamash; her cherished great-grandchildren, Korbin Lamash, Ethan Sawatzky, Lauren Sawatzky, Connor Lamash and Carson Lamash. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Stephanie Romaniuk and her close cousin Sylvia Krawchuk; along with many nieces, nephews, extended relatives and dear friends. Adeline was predeceased by her parents, Jack (1978) and Mary (1992) Romaniuk; her brother, Walter Romaniuk (2016); and her sisters, Anne Gawryluk (1977), Elsie Procinsky (1986), and Alvina Gurba (2007) along with their spouses. The family extends their heartfelt thanks to the staff at the Lamont Auxiliary / Nursing Home for their compassionate care and support. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, August 13, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. at the St. John The Baptist Russo Orthodox Church – Chipman with Rev. Alexios Surayev officiating. Interment to follow in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the “Lamont Health Care Centre” or the “Kids with Cancer Society.”
