Obituary of Leanne Jackson

JACKSON, Leanne Janelle January 23, 1975 ~ August 24 2026 “The light that burns twice as bright burns half as long ~ and you have burned so very, very brightly”. Leanne Jackson was removed from life-support on August 24 due to complications following surgery for a brain tumor. We will remember her intuitiveness, wisdom, ability with words, and her unrivaled humor. She is survived by her true love, James, and his children, Rebecca and Hayden, her two dogs, Mojo and Venus and Cat Gucchi. She will be profoundly missed by her mother, Angie Henderson, sister Lana Roach (Wayne), and brother Leslie Henderson. Fondly remembered by her nieces: Brianne, Kelsey (Gavin), Crystal (Todd), Hailey (Zayne), nephews Colin and Rowan. Great nieces Hadlee, Melanie, Dakota and great nephew Dawson; Aunt Elaine, Uncle Joe, Uncle Robert and Aunt Sophie; Cousins Lisa and Yul, extended family and many dear friends. Leanne was predeceased by her father, Brian Henderson; her sister, Leah Henderson; her grandparents, Ray and Mary Swiderski and Gordon and Marge Henderson; her uncle Rupert Mullins; her brother-in-law, Michael Jackson; and her father-in-law, Larry Jackson. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, September 12, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at Autumn Rose Funeral Home with Elise Brathwaite as the celebrant. Inurnment will be held at a later date in the Riverside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to “STARS Air Ambulance”, “Stollery Children’s Hospital Foundation”, or a Pet Rescue Society of one’s choice.
