In Loving Memory of Sheila Gwen Melenka May 17, 1959 – August 26, 2026 It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Sheila Melenka on Wednesday, August 26, 2026, at the age of 67 years. Sheila will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Brandy Naeth (Adam); grandchildren, Heather Topolinski, Sydney Topolinski, Tori Topolinski, Baylee Grenier, and Hudson Grenier; her mother, Ruth Chilibecki; and siblings, Linda Dyck (Bruce), Karen Sexsmith (Danny), Tony Naeth (Milka), and Don Naeth (Kim), along with nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. Sheila was predeceased by her father, Louis Naeth; stepfather, Johnny Chilibecki; son, Trever Naeth; and husband, Allan Melenka. Sheila will be remembered for the warmth she brought into the lives of those around her. She had a caring heart, a generous spirit, and a deep devotion to her family. She valued the simple blessings of life: time spent together, meaningful conversations, shared laughter, and the comfort of familiar faces. Her family will treasure memories of her kindness, her strength, her sense of humour, and the special way she made each person feel loved and welcomed. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, September 5, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. at Autumn Rose Funeral Home in Vegreville, Alberta with Verna Klimack as the celebrant. Memorial donations may be to the “Stollery Children’s Hospital Foundation”, “Jumpstart”, or the “Heart & Stroke Foundation.”
