Eric and I grew up together in the same class since Kindergarten. Words cannot express how much his friendship meant to me, especially in our last years of school together when I really got to know him. Eric was a true friend. I never felt judged and always felt that he had my back. We went our separate ways, but he will always be remembered by me as one of the best friends I ever had. My heart breaks for his mom and brothers. Please know that Eric made a positive impact on so many lives in his short time on earth. Probably more than he realized. My deepest condo

A: Oh Jeannie. My heart aches for your loss of Eric.
Please accept my deepest condolences of your sudden loss.
I had the absolute privilege of teaching him in kindergarten during my very first year of teaching. That first class of students will always be incredibly special to me, and I remember Eric with so much fondness. He was such a wonderful part of our classroom community. Looking back on that year, I remember a room full of laughter, growth, and bright potential—and your son was a beautiful part of that. I cannot begin to imagine the depth of your grief right now. Please know that a teacher’s love for their students doesn't fade with time, and I am mourning the loss of the wonderful man he became alongside you. Sending you strength and comfort.

Q: How did you meet Eric?
A: I met Eric at the Petro service station. He was always so helpful and we enjoyed many converstions over the last 3 years. I often commented on what a good employee he was, as he always gave me top notch service. My heart breaks for your family.
