I feel so blessed to have had you in my life. I couldn’t have asked for a more gentle, kind Mother-in-law and Baba for Rebecca and Jared. Every visit we made out to the farm to see you and Gido was special. You were so welcoming and waited on us hand and foot. I don’t think you stopped cooking from the time we got there until we left. I used to love when you and I would drive to Ft Saskatchewan to shop and on the way home stop and get ice cream .......that was usually my idea, and you were always game. Even though we haven’t been able to be at the farm for quite awhile, we have so many wonderful memories, going to the park in Andrew, our drives through Elk Island Park, visiting with relatives and helping with the vegetable garden. I remember Rebecca and Jared being so surprised when Gido pulled a carrot out of the garden, wiped it off on his pants and ate it right then and there. Of course, making homemade perogies was so much fun and you were always so patient when showing the kids how to pinch the sides. I can still see you standing at the table rolling out pastry for not just TWO pies, but SIX. Alvin was usually waiting with anticipation for them to bake, spoon and fork in hand. Alvin has always made a point of telling the kids and I stories about his life growing up on the farm with you, Gido, Ron and Rick. Our promise will be to tell your great granddaughter Josie about her Babka and Gid and what wonderful people she comes from.
God Bless you. I will think of you with love and admiration.
Rest In Peace
Xoxo

We are going to miss you Baba. I will never forget all of the great memories and time spent with you. Whether it was being at the farm, playing cards (somehow you always won) or the trip up to Jasper that we went on only a few years ago. Every time we make perogies I think of you, and I can’t wait to share what you taught us with Josie. We love you.
