BARANEC, Sylvia Diana
November 19, 1948 – November 11, 2023
On Saturday, November 11, 2023, Sylvia Baranec (nee Yaremchuk) of Vegreville, Alberta passed away at the age of 74 years.
Sylvia is survived by her loving husband of 40 years, John; daughter Breanne; brothers Peter (Audreen), Brian (Nadine), Bill (Marion) and Ross (Karen); sisters-in-law Lyn Yaremchuk, Karyn Yaremchuk, Anita Kostynuk and Diane Baranec; along with numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Sylvia was predeceased by her parents Andrew and Anne Yaremchuk; brothers Dennis and Ronald Yaremchuk.
A Private Divine Liturgy of Christian Burial will be held at Holy Trinity Ukrainian Catholic Church – Vegreville, Alberta with Fr. Randy Yackimec officiating. Interment to follow in Krasna Hora Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the “ALS Society of Alberta.”
