Elma and family:
I always enjoyed our visits whether we were at community functions, at neighbours homes, in your kitchen when I would stop by for Watkins or at the grocery store. Martin was a kind and soft-spoken man who lived his life with respect for the people he loved and with a spirit of neighbourliness. He had such beautiful blue eyes with a lovely hint of a smile. I remember Martin arriving on a Sunday with horses and a sleigh (or wagon) for the delight of our little girls just because he knew they would like that...what a thoughtful thing to do! Elma, often I am sure now you will be reminded of the happy times you had living out here in the country, and, then when you moved to town where Martin kept busy with his various projects to make a lovely place for you to live and to retire.
May your memories give you an opportunity to remember Martin and the happy times you shared as a family.
From your neighbours on the farm, Viola and Derek
