Ed Witvoet - Bike Tour Manager for Love in Motion posted a condolence
Tuesday, October 25, 2016
I met Vince on a cold night in early 2014 at Boston Pizza for supper to discuss the upcoming Love in Motion cross Canada bicycle tour that would be passing through Vegreville sometime that summer. Right away, we hit it off as I found him to be a warm, welcoming and Christ centred man. He assured me that Vegreville Alliance Church would provide all that our cyclists needed for our overnight stay at the church. We kept in contact as the tour was approaching Vegreville and sure enough, Vince had arranged for the cyclists to sleep in the church, a supper and breakfast meal hosted by members of Vegreville Alliance Church, showers at a nearby YMCA and anything else we might need. We were hosted by other Alliance churches across Canada but none provided and looked after all our needs better than VAC. This was a result of Vince coordinating on his end the people needed to provide the meals and shuttles to the showers. It struck me again what a man of God Vince was.
He had a servant heart, who professed his faith through his actions. I was shocked to hear of this tragedy last winter. It's taken me this long to respond and give my condolences to his family. I still think of Vince from time to time and the loss felt in his family, church and community.
My God continue to bring solace to his family, church and community.

Janice and family,
Our sincerest condolences at this sorrowful time. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Vince was such a great guy. I had tremendous respect for him and was so saddened when I heard of his passing. I had the pleasure of sledding with him a few times and will treasure those good memories. God only knows why Vince was taken from this world so soon, and although we struggle with the question why, we are left with the real hope in life after death. We pray that your family will be comforted by the promise that we will be reunited again with our loves ones some day. Until then, we will miss Vince so very much. I Thessalonians 4:13-18

Our deepest sympathy Janice, our thoughts and prayers are with you & your family. We will always have pleasant memories of Vince being a kind, thoughtful person & it was a privilege to have know him. I will miss the times Vince and I would bump into each other behind our businesses & discuss what we had to improve or repair on our buildings then more often than not our conversations would turn to motorcycles & cars which seemed to take up a little more time than we both had but we always had smiles on our faces & I will always remember those moments.

We were all devastated by the news of Vince's passing. He was great colleague and friend. We spent many hours talking about strategies to make our clients' lives better and in turn improving our accounting practices. It was apparent how much he cared for his clients as he always wanted to do the best for them. He will be deeply missed by his friends in the accounting community.

Vince has done my accounting for many years, one year it was so bad he had to take it home for Christmas! Still he stuck with me and largely because of his expertise we have a home In Maui. I always loved tax time with Vince, we visited and worked and shared Christ. How wonderful to work with a brilliant accountant who also was so committed to the Lord. We are so glad that Vince and Janice had such a wonderful cruise recently and we are sure you, Janice, have many many more memories.
