BIBKEWICH, Katie
On Sunday, April 12, 2015, Mrs. Katie Bibkewich of Vegreville, Alberta peacefully passed away at the age of 103 years.
Katie is survived by her loving family, one son Bill (Dianna) Bibkewich; two daughters Natalie (Walter) Mayowski and Patricia (Richard) Komarniski; six grandchildren Lorne (Maria) Saina, Lori Menshik, Rosanne (Mike) Masse, Leslie (Kelly) Bibkewich, Mike (Celeste) Bibkewich and Darcy (Tamara) Bibkewich; seven great grandchildren Katrina and Danielle Saina, Jude and Raya Bibkewich, Kaydence, Kate and Ella Bibkewich; along with numerous nieces, nephews and relatives in Ukraine. Katie was predeceased by her husband Dmetro; her parents Basil and Maria Olijnyk; four brothers and three sisters.
A Parastas (Funeral Service) will be held on Thursday, April 16, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Trinity Ukrainian Catholic Church (5705-51 St.) in Vegreville, Alberta with the Basilian Fathers officiating. Interment to follow in Riverside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the “Vegreville Care Centre Patient Comfort Society.”
