I send my heartfelt thoughts and prayers to the many family and friends of a good and caring man. I am cousin Gloria Pfaff (nee Zemlak). While in college in Saskatoon in the 60’s, I have several fond memories of our car visits as I hooked many a ride to Elfros with Sly on his frequent trips to Yorkton. Our condolences to the Family of Sly. We probably haven't crossed trails since the late 50's near Wishart/Bankend when we were both pretty young. Always had such a good time with your siblings. I trust you were the caring and hard working individual that worked to help all the family members to be the great individuals they are. The Lord will look after you now.

Sly was like a grandfather to me, I brought him my first deer when I was 12 years old and we butchered probably 4 here this last fall, he always loved spending time in the meat house. As a kid I was always in awe watching him work and visiting the little piggies. I’m glad I got to spend as much time with him as I did. Thanks for all the memories. Rest easy Sly ❤️

Carol, Kelly, Karen and families; Our sincere condolences to all of you on the loss of your father. Many years have gone by but I can still hear the laughter shared between Sly and my Dad, Howard. They were always together, the best of friends. If they weren’t at our farm, they were at yours…..there was always work to do but it was always followed by a great meal and a relaxing evening among friends. May the good memories you made with your Dad help heal your heart today. He will be missed by many. Sending hugs to all of you.
