Obituary of Delaney Kirk

KIRK, Delaney Arabella Delaney Arabella Kirk passed away suddenly at the age of 16, on Monday, November 20th, 2023. She is survived by her bonus parents, Meagan and Jamie MacDonald; her brother James (Jazlyn), sister Ainsley (Mark), bonus siblings Addy, Jaydyn, Connor, and Hazel; nephew, Liam; numerous aunties, uncles, cousins, and grandparents. Delaney was predeceased by her parents, Sara and James Kirk; Grandmas Joan and Dianne; and cousin Lincoln. Delaney was a beautiful, smart, kind, funny, incredible girl. She loved reading, cooking, baking, plants and gardening, animals, poetry, drawing, and she excelled at school. She was a huge Marvel fan and a proud Ravenclaw. Delaney was incredibly thoughtful and was always willing to help others. She was a truly remarkable human being and the world is a little less bright without her in it. Delaney was a student at St. Paul Regional High School, where she was surrounded by amazing friends, both in her peers and the staff. Prior to that, she was a part of the Racette School family. As a passionate music lover Delaney's favourite class in school was music. In lieu of flowers, Delaney's family would love for donations to go to Racette's music program in her memory. A Memorial Service for Delaney will be held on Wednesday, December 6, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at the All Saints Cultural Centre (Garlic Dome) in St. Paul, Alberta with Verna Klimack as the Celebrant.
