Obituary of Dan Kobylnyk

KOBYLNYK, Dan March 23, 1934 – January 9, 2024 On Tuesday, January 9, 2024, Dan Kobylnyk of Vegreville, Alberta passed away at the age of 89 years. Dan is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Janet; one son Rick (Amanda); grandson Michael; one sister Lassie (Roland) Ewaniuk; nephew Darren (Courtney) Ewaniuk along with their family; nieces Christine (Peter) Wellsman and Debbie (Bob) Race along with their families. He was predeceased by his parents Steve and Anne Kobylnyk; two sisters Joanne (Peter) Andrishak and Mary (Paul) Ruzycki; and niece Patricia Andrishak. A Divine Liturgy of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, January 19, 2024 at 10:30 a.m. at the Holy Trinity Ukrainian Catholic Church (5705-51St.) in Vegreville, Alberta with Basilian Fathers officiating. Interment to follow in the Riverside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the “Holy Trinity Parish – Vegreville” or “Heart & Stroke Foundation." The family would like to express a very special thanks to the staff of the Fort Saskatchewan Community Hospital for the compassionate care given to Dan.
