Joyce was always so welcoming to everyone. She was an amazing grandmother. We always enjoyed her hot dog feasts. Trading recipes with Joyce over so many years has also been so much fun. She will be missed.

My Life
I Lay beneath my maple tree,
And think of what is dear to me
My land, my children, and my wife
What have I done to earn this life?
I don't remember not
Loving this most peaceful spot...
The farm where I have lived so long,
Is the place where I belong.
I think of everything I've done
Beneath the hot and searing sun,
I've planted seeds and watched them grow
And prayed for harvest to bestow.
Can I remember when the soil was not my loyal friend?
The rain and wind were present too to help as they were passing through.
And like the seeds my children grew. Were fed and tended to
And when time came to fly away.
I just gave thanks they passed my way.
So now at my advancing age.
I am ready for another page.
The lands still here and so am I
Beneath the wide blue open sky.
I've loved my life and its loved me,
I think of this;
Beneath my tree.
By: Eileen (Benoit) Baycroft
On Irvine farm the grain field grow
Between the fences row on row
We are old, and must pass them on
Up to you to carry on
If yea break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep up in the sky.
