I had the privilege to work with Dave & the “boys” as he called Warren & Mason several times over the last 10 years in my time in Lamont. He was always welcoming even though he would have preferred not to see me on official business. When I met him the 1st time I knew I had encountered him somewhere in the past. I finally asked Warren if his dad played defence for the Andrew Aces in the Beaverhill Hockey League and when the answer was "Yes" I immediately knew that Dave was the burly defenceman that had bounced me off the puck many times!! As I recall his “helmet” was a toque perched high on his head. As a crop adjuster working on the Fedun farm I knew I was going to have a good day when I had to visit their farm. I knew that things were going to go smoothly as Dave always had all the required papers sitting on his kitchen table. We always had good conversations about crop conditions & challenges that our respective farms faced. I will miss Dave’s smile & his booming “Come in”. Don Boettger

Dear Barry, Marcella and family; Warren, Cindy and family; and Leanne,
Your Dad was not only family but he was the best kind of friend one could have. In his quiet way he had a great sense of humour. He was a very knowledgeable man who was respected by all who knew him. We will miss his welcoming smile. Our loving thoughts and prayers are with you.
With deepest sympathy for your loss,
Auntie Hazel and family

My sincerest condolences to the Fedun Family. There are no words to describe what a wonderful person Dave was. I was very blessed to have him in my life and memories of him will be cherished forever. I am so grateful for the love and kindness he showed over the years. I'm glad I had the opportunity to celebrate his 85th birthday, and share what would be our last cup of tea together.
May God hold him in his arms and welcome him with love.
Rest in peace Big Dave, you will be missed, never forgotten, and always loved.

Q: What did David like to do in their free time?
A: Here’s to you, Dave, from one of the members of the old “Six Case Club,” the Andrew Aces baseball team. We spent many a day together on the baseball diamond. I know I speak for all our teammates—Robert, Bob, George, Barney, Richard, and the rest of the guys—in saying we will miss you!
