Obituary of Nadia Farion

FARION, Nadia November 2, 1930 – November 20, 2016 On Sunday, November 20, 2016, Nadia Farion of Vegreville, Alberta passed away peacefully at the age of 86 years. Nadia is survived by her loving family; one daughter Evelyn (Richard) Boyko; three sons Ken (Jacqueline), Terry (Connie) and Greg; eight grandchildren Kelly (Jeremy) Rude, Charlene (Jason) Michaud, Shannon (Zachary) Miller, Michael, Roberta, Kimberly, Robert and Leah Farion; five great-grandchildren Ryan, Nikolas and Jillian Michaud: Anastasia and Dominic Rude; siblings Anne Poshtar, Elsie Mochnach, Florence Menduik, Joanne Boyko, Eugene and Lawrence Mayko; brother-in-law Ed (Helen) Perlik; along with numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Nadia was predeceased by her husband Orest; parents Bill and Agnes Mayko; parents-in-law Harry (Anne) Farion; siblings Rose (Sam) Chmilar, Christine Perlik, Theresa Mayko, Paul ( Francis) Mayko and Marion Mayko; brothers-in-law Henry Poshtar, Ernie Mochnach, Orest Menduik and Marshall Boyko; sisters-in-law Olga Kubin, Sonia Dobush and Shirley Din. A Divine Liturgy of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, November 26, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Trinity Ukrainian Catholic Church in Vegreville, Alberta with Father Jim Nakonechny officiating. Interment to follow in Riverside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the “Mary Immaculate Hospital Foundation -resident van fund” or to the “Vegreville Homestead Lodge” or “Mass Intentions.”
