Obituary of Katherine (Kay) Poloway

POLOWAY, Kay

August 23, 1927 – September 26, 2017

On Tuesday, September 26, 2017, at the age of 90, Kay Poloway passed away peacefully.  She will be lovingly remembered by her three children Martin (Linda), Wes (Janice) and Cathy (Brian); seven grandchildren Carly, Aimee, Quintin, Brett, Katrina, Lena and Jenna; along with one great-grandchild Vera.

Kay was predeceased by her loving husband Peter Poloway; mother and father Genowefa and Florian Deren; one brother John Deren.

Our sincere thanks to the wonderful care given to Kay by the medical and support staff at the Lamont Health Care Centre.  She was always treated with dignity and respect.

A Prayer Service will be held on Monday, October 2, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. at the Lamont United Church with Rev. Debbie Brill officiating.  A Funeral Liturgy will be held on Tuesday, October 3, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at Evergreen Funeral Home (16102 Fort Rd NW)  Edmonton, AB with Father Joe Glaab O.S.M.  as the Celebrant.  Interment to follow in Evergreen Memorial Gardens.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the “Lamont Health Care Centre.”
