Rodney,Marie & extended family members,
It was with a sense of sadness that I read of Irene,your Mom`s passing in the Edmonton Journal this week. I knew your Mom and Dad through their involvement with St Martin`s and St Mary`s Schools as proud parents. I had many occasions to speak with them during my time with Vegreville Catholic Schools. Your Mom and I sort of bonded, I think; in part because of my impaired hearing and her challenges articulating. I admired very much her determination not to let her impairment get in the way of her involvement with the parent teacher relationship.All the best to each of you and your families as you honour and treasure her memory.Rest assured she is in a better place
