Obituary of Rose Graschak
GRASCHAK, Rose
November 23, 1922 – May 30, 2018
It is with great sadness that the family announce the passing of our dear mom, baba and great-baba, Rose Graschak of Vegreville, Alberta, formerly of Ranfurly, at the age of 95 years, with her daughter Toni and Johnnie at her side.
Rose is survived by her loving family, daughter Toni (Johnnie) Warawa; granddaughter Judy (Grant) and grandson Rick (Cindy); five great-grandchildren Jackson, Hunter and Tristan Miller and Johnathan and Grace Warawa; two sisters-in-law MaryJane Graschuk and Rose Strynadka; along with numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Rose was predeceased by her husband Mike; grandson in infancy Billie Warawa; parents Makary and Anna Strynadka; five brothers and four sisters.
She will always be remembered for her tiny mouth-watering cabbage rolls and nachynka along with her beaming smile and her infectious laugh.
A Divine Liturgy of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, June 5, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Trinity Ukrainian Catholic Church in Vegreville, Alberta with the Basilian Fathers officiating. Interment to follow in Riverside Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the “Heart & Stroke Foundation of Alberta” or “Holy Trinity Ukrainian Catholic Church-Vegreville.”
