On Friday, November 30, 2018, John Sawiak of Vegreville, Alberta passed away at the age of 84 years.
John is survived by his loving family, his wife Frances; four sons and their families Julian (Doris) and their children Nick and Nicole: Michael (Barb): Vincent and his children Kristine (Brad) and their son Hunter and John Ronald (J.R.): Allan and his children Maria, Marcus and Lucas: step-children Melanie: Jonathan and his son Gavin: and Joanna and her children Andrew and his daughter Natalie: Zackary and his daughter Serina: and Abbie; two sisters Victoria Krysak and Eileen Ulan; along with numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. John was predeceased by his first wife Albina; parents Mike and Stefania Sawiak; step grandson Avery; brother-in-law John Krysak.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, December 8, 2018 at 11:30 a.m. at St. Martin of Tours Roman Catholic Church (5437 - 43 St) in Vegreville, Alberta with Father Luan Vu as the Celebrant. Interment to follow in Riverside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the “Lions Foundation of Canada Dog Guides.”
