Obituary of Nadia Hughes

March 20, 1933 – December 5, 2018
On Wednesday, December 5, 2018, Nadia Hughes of Vegreville, Alberta peacefully passed away at the age of 85 years.
Nadia is survived by two daughters and one son, Linda (Wayne) Lusk and their children Kelly (Charles) Crisp and their children Connor and Kiera Crisp: Kevin (Melissa McMullen and her girls Isabella and Sofia) and his son Bryce Beida (Jasmine Fenske): Judy (Walter) Dowhaniuk and their children Mark (Catherine) Dowhaniuk, Trevor (Tara) Dowhaniuk and their family Abigal and Brynn, Tammy (Mark) Panter and their family Kade, Carrie and Andraya: Robert Hughes (Peggy Sawchuk); one sister Rose (Barry) Hunt and her family; brother-in-law Leroy (Mary) Hughes and their family; brother-in-law Gerry Fisher and his family; along with numerous relatives and friends. Nadia was predeceased by her beloved husband Osborne (Ossie) in Dec. 2016; parents, birth mother Mary (Kostyk) Gogal and father Frank (Mary) Gogal; granddaughter Cassidy Victoria Crisp in Dec. 2014; sister-in-law Shirley Fisher.
The family would like to extend a huge THANK YOU to all the doctors and nurses of the Mundare and Vegreville Long Term Care Centres where mom spent her 10 years. We hope you continue to look after your residents as part of “your family.”
A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, December 11, 2018 at 1:30 p.m. at Autumn Rose Funeral Home in Vegreville, Alberta with the Basilian Fathers officiating. Interment to follow in Riverside Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the “Vegreville Long Term Care Patient Comfort Society” or “Alberta Children’s Hospital –in memory of Cassidy Crisp 2888 Shaganappi Trail NW, Calgary, AB.,T3B 6A8.”
