Obituary of Violet (Vi) (Mokrey) Pshyk

PSHYK (MOKREY), Violet (Vi) June 8, 1921 – December 23, 2019 On December 23, 2019, Vi Pshyk, formerly of Innisfree, Alberta passed away at the Louise Jensen Care Centre in Camrose, Alberta at the age of 98 years. Vi will be lovingly remembered by her family, her sister Bette Matheson (Ken); daughter-in-law Jean Pshyk; grandson Darren Pshyk; step-granddaughter Julie Collins; and step-great-granddaughter, Jade Lewis; nieces, Terri Mokrey Caeser and Bev Mokrey Glowach; nephew Curtis Mokrey; along with family and friends. Vi was predeceased by her husband, John; son Rick and parents Annie and Joe Mokrey; brothers Bill (sister-in-law Virgy) and Victor (sister-in-law Joan); nephews Brian and David Mokrey; niece Margy Mokrey Lien. After retirement Vi and John enjoyed trips to Camrose to engage in activities with their grandson Darren as well as many trips to play the horse races at Northlands in Edmonton. The family wishes to extend their thank you to all the staff at the Louise Jensen Care Centre for their care and compassion. Vi will be laid to rest next to John in the Innisfree Cemetery. As per Vi’s wishes a private family service will be held. Memorial donations may be made to the charity for one's choice.
