My special memory of Annie.. I am so very thankful for her warmth and kindness to me after the death of Emil when I know how much pain and hurt she was in. She always reached out to me and kept me a part of her family and for that I am forever grateful. I can never thank her enough as it meant the world to me and to Brad and Dawn. When I saw her last she was still in her house and I was overwhelmed with seeing her and as she hugged me I could not stop crying and she was still hugging me with affection. She will forever be the mother in law of my heart. Rest in peace dear Annie and know how very much I will miss your calls and our telephone chats. You will be safe in the arms of Alec and Emil and will be missed by us all. With much love from Evelyn.

Annie was an excellent Mother-in-Law, I can't recall one harsh word or stern look. She was always generous with her time and certainly with all her homemade Ukrainian food. You couldn't leave Annie's home without a care package. She befriended my entire family and would have them over for meals or 'tea time'. She was the best Baba to her grandchildren and always had time for them. We would let her spoil them with special treats and goodies as it made her sooo happy. Her last words to my son were 'I love you grandchildren so much'. We understand that she was in pain and her time had come but we can't help but miss her. She will never be proclaimed a saint by the church but to us she will be 'Saint Annie'. I love you Mom!
