Obituary of Rosie Gorgichuk

GORGICHUK, Rosie June 6, 1923 – June 25, 2021 On Friday, June 25, 2021, Rosie Gorgichuk of Vegreville, Alberta passed away at the age of 98 years. Rosie is survived by her loving family, son Robert (Lorna); daughters Betty Gorgichuk and Debbie (Don) Buryn; grandchildren Darcy (Pam), Dana (Blaine), Jonathan (Annie) and Brittany (Colin); great-grandchildren Chanse, Roper, Faith and Laycee; sister Noella Bannister; sisters-in-law Nettie Charuk and Stella Charuk; along with numerous nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. Rosie was predeceased by her husband Bill; son Leonard; son in law George Puritch; parents John and Mary Charuk; brothers Steve (Myrtle) Charuk, Bill Charuk and Nick Charuk; sisters Sophie Charuk in infancy, Olga (Bill) Czar, Annie (Steve) Makowichuk and Nadia (Mike) Chrapko; brother-in-law Bill Bannister. To those who wish to pay their respects to Rosie, a viewing can be arranged by contacting Autumn Rose Funeral Home for Tuesday, June 29, 2021, from 5:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. A Private Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, June 30, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. at the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of St. Vladimir in Vegreville, Alberta with Rt. Rev. Fr. Slawomir Lomaszkiewicz officiating. Interment to follow in Riverside Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the “Mary Immaculate Hospital (Mundare) Foundation.”
