Obituary of Jean Meier

MEIER, JEAN VIOLET (nee CLEGHORN) Born - October 5, 1924 Leader, Saskatchewan Passed Away – June 24, 2022 Two Hills, Alberta “And run, if you will, to the top of the hill, Open your arms, bonnie Jean.” At the age of 97 years, Jean left us on her final journey, to join her family and friends, who have gone before her. While we mourn that she is no longer with us, we are grateful that her passing was gentle and soft as a whisper. She lived her life in the same way, graciously and without complaint. She is now reunited with the love of her life, her husband Elmer (Al) Meier and her daughter Charlotte Hartley and infant grandson Michael Hartley. Jean’s parents, William and Emily Cleghorn and her sister Mary Lou Toma. Her memory will be forever cherished by her daughter Patricia (Pat) and husband Daryl Toma of Willingdon, along with their family: Robert (Collette) and children Ava and Evan of Willingdon; David (Lori) Toma and their children Grayson, Everly and Ellarose of Cochrane; Heather Toma (Steve) and her children Phoenix and Logan of Willingdon; granddaughter Susan (Jason) Vincent and their family Simon, Logan and Sam of Cochrane; grandson Robert (Tavia) Hartley and their family Alex and Livia of Calgary. Family will gather at a later date to honor Jean’s life and to place her urn beside her husband and daughter at Hillside Cemetery – Medicine Hat, Alberta.
