Dear Mary, Melanie, Mike and family:
We are so saddened to hear of Eli's passing. We fondly remember the many years we shared time and space with Eli - in the staffroom at the Comp and of course, the years on 'the farm'.
How we enjoyed Eli's delicious studenetz - lean, meaty, and loaded with garlic - the tastiest version this side of the Manitoba border. How we chuckled after Eli's experience canning fish in tomato sauce, when the pressure cooker exploded all over the popcorn ceiling in the kitchen! And all those Saturdays that Eli spent puttering on the farm while Mary and I solved the world's problems over coffee on the deck.
Through it all, Eli was a kind and gentle soul with a keen, dry sense of humour, who loved his family beyond measure. He will be deeply missed. Vichnaya Pamyat! Memory Eternal!
