On Friday, January 20, 2023, Effie Symyrozum of Vegreville, Alberta, passed away one day short of her 99th birthday.
Effie is survived by her son Wayne: 4 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; one sister Maria; along with numerous nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. Effie was predeceased by her husband John; daughter Jean; parents Michael and Anastasia Poholka; 2 brothers Nicholas and Steve; 3 sisters Anne, Alice and Stella.
A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, January 28, 2023 at 10:30 a.m. at the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of St. Vladimir (5145-49 Ave) in Vegreville, Alberta with Rt. Rev. Fr. Slawomir Lomaszkiewicz officiating. Interment to follow in Riverside Cemetery.
