I first met Billy Blitzo from Borneo in Yosemite Park.I kept hearing "Billy is coming!"Billy is coming!" When we finally met-WOW! this guy was bigger than LIFE!-Funnier than your normal goofy guy! I was working there after a month long road trip to see all the parks,,hiking, from there to other National parks up in Jasper,BC. to New Mexico, ending back in Yosemite.I put in an app to work and never went home until the park closed in the fall.We became great partners. You could not help to fall for this crazy, fun guy.He had my heart! After he went to Hawaii and I went to South America we remained close thru letters, ect. We finally caught up when I returned to the states.I was traumatized from S.A.and lost being back in the bay area and lost Billy because of my changed perception of life,so to speak.I adored him! But I was changed...and Billy was Billy-true to himself always! I had just come home after a concert of" ELO" 2 days ago in Seattle and my thoughts soared to Billy! So here I am, not knowing of his passing.I'm in shock but sooo amazed and happy to see where he went and all of his grand achievements!! He was an incredible and loving soul and I hope to see him again!! I love you Billy always and in all ways!! Love you! Theresa*ooooxxx!

My Uncle Bill left me with a lifetime of memories that fill my heart with warmth. He was my Godfather and though I didn't know exactly what that meant when I was a child, I soon came to understand that it meant he would secretly give me $50.00 every time I saw him. One of my earliest memories of my Uncle Bill was when I was very young... I must have been 3 or 4 years old when he started to teach me how to ride horses. Mind you - I was extremely allergic to horses so it was yet another activity we kept a secret from my mom (though the secret didn't last long as I'd always break out in horrible hives and have to be rushed home...but it was worth it). I can't remember much from these times, but I can remember the smells, the sunshine, the feeling of the horse hair on my legs. This one particular memory is a blur but was kept alive by reminders from my sister. I got bucked off of a horse and I couldn't have been more than 25 pounds at the time...so I went flying. Uncle Bill quite literally caught me by a leg mid-air. Apparently, I was quite shaken up and frightened. But that didn't stop me from continuing to ride and trust horses. Uncle Bill taught me at a very young age to always get back on the horse and I have carried that lesson throughout my life.
If it weren't for my Uncle Bill, I know I would have never ridden a horse, let alone got back on one after being bucked off. I never would have learned how to hold and shoot a rifle ("watch for the kick-back"), I never would have learned to drive a quad or appreciate the simple things in life - such as roasting a hot dog over a bon fire at his ranch. I think about those times often - so simple yet some of the best memories of my life. I wish there was a way to know you were in the good old days before you actually left them, because those were the good old days for me and I hope my Uncle Bill knows he gave that to me.
My heart is with all of you - Aunty Heike, Will and Jason. I know what it's like to lose your dad at a young age and though it's not easy, just know that he is still with you and will continue to guide you through the trials and tribulations of life. Love you guys.

It's not the same driving down our road now, missing Bill's smile & wave when we drove past each other. Our long time friend, and our "out of town" neighbor for the past 17 years, Bill was always willing to stop and chat or offer help whenever needed. Your friendliness & kindness will be missed, Bill. Rest in peace.
Heike, William & Jason - May memories bring you comfort always, along with your family & friends always here for you.❤

Dear Heike, we will miss Bill's smile, his chuckle, his generosity with the use of the ranch, and most of all, his friendship. He was more like a brother than a buddy to Marvin. Peaceful rest Cattle Baron. M&M.
